AYRSHIRE WEEKLY PRESS CUP: Semi-final action-Ardrossan v Girvan

Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup Final: CUMNOCK 4 GIRVAN 3

COMEBACK Kings 'Nock overcame a two-goal deficit to sink tenacious 10-man Girvan in a seven-goal rollercoaster affair at sun-soaked Beechwood on Tuesday to claim the top domestic trophy for the second time in three years.

It completed a dream end to the season for Stevie Farrell and his side who last Wednesday had become the first team in Stagecoach Super League history to clinch promotion a season after being relegated from the top flight.

In the semi-finals on Saturday, Ardrossan Winton Rovers went down 6-1 to Girvan, ending their season.
