FORM team Garnock"s remarkable season continued in style as they took a major scalp, toppling Premier Three outfit Peebles to power into the quarter finals of the national Shield.
Now they face a mouthwatering home last-eight tie against Ayrshire rivals Marr at Lochshore on Saturday.
A very happy Garnock coach Kenny Glen said afterwards: 'What a game. We started by giving to much respect for Peebles but when we realised we were as good and could compete with our higher opposition we started to believe in ourselves and played some quite magnificent rugby and thoroughly deserved our win - and what a support we carried with us kept us going.
`To pick out any player for praise would be an injustice as all the boys were quite magnificent.`
