After clinching promotion, Garnock took the chance to relax and show how they can play against the Premier Two promotion hopefuls.

Garnock took the game to the visitors and on three minutes won a lineout inside the Selkirk 22, working a well-rehearsed move where Stuart Wilson drove for the line and was tackled just short, but Fraser Thomson finished off the move for a well-taken try.

Shell-shocked Selkirk gathered momentum but missed a penalty in six minutes.
