On an extremely blustery day the Accies kicked off through Allan Wilson and playing towards the school end of the pitch.Morgan fielded the kick and immediately ran the ball out along their backs before a spilled pass gave Accies the first scrummage of the match
Scrum half Mathew Grant darted from the base of scrum and with good support work from Euan Thomson saw the play being taken deep into the Morgan 22.
Captain Jeffrey Anderson said afterwards: “I was pleased with the team’s performance and we thoroughly deserved our win”
As for man of the match! There were prominent performances by Duncan, Grant, Hendry, Thomson and Voullaire but later in the post match rugby analysis at the bar, the cognoscenti decided by majority that it was Brian Hendry.
Next Match for Accies is away to Dalziel RFC on Saturday, October 16, kick-off 3pm.
