CROCKARD - Gavin Passed away untimely on 3rd August 2024, aged 56 years, beloved son of Lily and Jack, brother to Scott and friend to many. Former pupil of Ardrossan Academy and Member of HM Diplomatic Service. His Funeral will take place on Wednesday 11th September 2024 in Milton Keynes. Dear Crockard Family,

Oh gosh, I have just learned of Gavin’s passing and would like to pass along my deepest condolences on the loss of your son and brother.

I have many fold memories of Gavin (indeed he was my boss at one point in the Economic Section of the British High Commission in Ottawa) and we shared the love of Scotland and the Isle of Arran where I would visit my family every summer when I was younger. We also spent many an outside hour, where a few of us I think kept D’Arcy Magees Pub in business.
Gavin was an ingenious fellow with a wicked sense of humour, and was one diplomat who I missed terribly when his posting was finished. I saw a lot of diplomats pass through the Economic Section, but Gavin was certainly well missed by us all.
