A total of 200 people will get their hearts checked for hidden conditions at a charity screening event in Ardrossan this weekend.
The screening on Saturday and Sunday has been organised by Kirsty Millar from Saltcoats and was made possible thanks to her tireless fundraising.
Kirsty has raised in excess of £25,000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) in memory of her brother John who died suddenly at the age of just 35.
Thanks to Kirsty’s efforts, specialist heart doctors from CRY in London will be able to use ECG-screening on the hearts of 200 people in the Whitlees Centre over the weekend.
See next week’s Herald to find out how the screening went.
