A BRAZEN pedestrian was almost stuck this afternoon after a quick burst to avoid waiting for a train to pass through a level crossing.
Dashcam footage taken earlier today shows a man meandering from one side of the crossing at Ardrossan Town Railway Station as the barriers come down to allow a train to pass through towards Ardrossan South Beach and beyond.
The man is spotted taking an extreme risk as the second barriers come down to stop traffic and pedestrians crossing as a train goes on its way from Ardrossan Harbour.
He has to duck under the barrier to ensure he doesn't get caught up and in an extremely dangerous situation.
He quickly turned round and looked at the barriers before continuing on his way as others waited for the train to pass before crossing safely.
Although the dash cam footage says 2017, it was captured this afternoon.
