A TOP Ardrossan Indian restaurant has been given the okay from licensing chiefs to play background music for customers and serve 16 and 17-year-olds.
Harpeet Singh of the Jaipur Indian restaurant, applied to North Ayrshire Licensing Board to amend the restrictions on the eatery.
Mr Singh applied for the popular Glasgow Street eatery to be allowed to play recorded background music within the restaurant following feedback and requests from customers.
He also applied to amend the restrictions to allow young people aged 16 and 17 to be allowed to be served food and soft drinks in the premises without being accompanied by an adult – with the restrictions on children under 16 remaining.
Cllr Ronnie McNicol said: “We’re happy to grant the variation and wish you every success.”
