The Arran ferry has gone off course to reportedly help in a rescue.
The vessel headed towards the coast off Stevenston to aid after a person got into trouble in the water.

The Herald understands that the Coastguard has responded after someone in an inflatable vessel was blown out to sea.
A helicopter was also dispatched to aid in the rescue.
RNLI Troon Lifeboat was called out half an hour ago, although it is not clear if this is to a separate incident.
