AYRSHIRE occupational Health Nurse, Wendy Davies has been awarded the Isabella Kimmett Compassionate Care Award after being nominated by her colleague Pamela Anderson.
The award is presented three times each year, to celebrate great workers who have shown compassionate qualities.
Pamela said: “I felt Wendy deserves recognition for the exceptional care she provides every day to our NHS staff.
“She always goes above and beyond what is required of her and continually tries to improve the service we provide.
“Wendy has offered exceptional support to many staff members. She takes time to listen to everyone and has a very patient nature.
“I often hear staff say how wonderful it is to have someone to talk to who, not only offers kindness, but also understands the nature of the NHS working environment.”
Professor Hazel Borland, Nurse Director added: “She is a truly compassionate nurse and her help is appreciated by so many across the organisation.”
