A CAR has crashed into a fence due to an icy road in Kilwinning.
Wintry conditions have impacted Woodwynd Road in the town with several vehicles skidding on the road which has been hit by dangerous black ice.
Police were called to the street around 7.30am on (Thursday, December 31) after the smash.
No injuries were reported but officers have received further reports from other motorists concerned over the state of the road.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers attended Woodwynd Road at around 7.30am on Thursday, December 31, following a report of poor road conditions, including black ice.
"A number of vehicles were reported to have skidded and one vehicle is believed to have collided with a fence. There have been no reported injuries."
