Amazon Prime members in Stevenston can now shop from the new 'Morrisons on Amazon' store which opens today, meaning same-day grocery delivery free of charge.
Amazon and Morrisons today announced that, for the first time, customers in Stevenston and surrounding areas including Troon, Irvine, and Saltcoats are now able to do their full Morrisons food shop on Amazon.co.uk and enjoy free same-day delivery on orders over £40 as part of their Prime membership.
The store's arrival in Stevenston follows launches throughout the last year across the country - meaning free delivery and thousands of grocery products to choose from including meat, seafood, dairy and baked goods, fruit and vegetables.
Today's announcement will make Morrisons even more accessible to customers that use Amazon.co.uk and the Amazon app, with Prime members able to find the Morrisons products that they know and love, from everyday essentials to favourites such as Morrisons The Best range and Morrisons Market Street selection.
Prime members will also benefit from Amazon’s fastest grocery delivery offer which is usually as fast as same-day for orders placed before 3pm in most areas.
John Boumphrey, Amazon UK Country Manager, said: “After months of planning, we are delighted to bring Morrisons on Amazon to the people of Stevenston. We recognise the challenges of the current circumstances and hope that we can help people get what they need quickly and safely.”
David Potts, Morrisons Chief Executive, said: “Morrisons on Amazon will build on our partnership with Amazon, making our good quality, great value food even more accessible through Amazon.co.uk and the Amazon app. It will give more customers across Stevenston the option of receiving Morrisons groceries straight to their doorstep, including freshly prepared products from our brilliant Market Street colleagues.”
