A man has been taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Saltcoats.
The incident happened at around 1.20pm with police and an ambulance rushing to the Braes.
It is unclear the extent of the man's injuries.
The Herald understands that police officers wereconducting door to door enquiries at nearby houses and flats following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.20pm on Thursday April 29, we received a report of a cyclist injured on Braes Road in Saltcoats. The man was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 1464 of April 29."
