FORMER Labour councillors David and Margaret Munn celebrated their Golden Wedding on June 18 with a small garden party for their family.

And Margaret says she can’t quite believe it was 50 years ago when they said, “I do,” to each other at St Peter’s Church in Ardrossan.

“The years have just caught up with us,” beamed Margaret.

“It’ s hard to believe it’s been 50 years and, to be honest, it was only when my sister reminded me about our anniversary that I realised we’ve been together for all this time.”

As for the secret to a happy marriage, Margaret smiled and said: “You need to have a sense of humour and be there for each other.”
