A YOUNG man who injured a woman during an attack in her home awaits sentence in custody.
Zaher Hamsho, 20, pled guilty to assaulting and injuring the woman under the deletion of words on the indictment last week after the incident at address in Hayocks Road, Stevenston between August 23 and August 24 last year.
Court papers state Hamsho, of New England Road, Saltcoats, acted in an aggressive manner towards the complainer then seized hold of her and pushed and pulled her about. He also repeatedly seized the lady by the neck and refused to leave the premises when he was told to.
Hamsho also seized the woman by the hair, picked her up as well as squeezing her to her injury, with Her Majesty’s Advocate’s Indictment stating the offence is aggravated by involving abuse of a partner or ex partner. He pled guilty to an amended version of the allegation when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week [Monday, June 28].
Sentencing was deferred for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and Hamsho was held in custody.
