People in Ayrshire are reminded to get jagged in July as a number of COVID-19 drop-in vaccination clinics open this coming week.
Adults in Ayrshire who have not yet had their COVID-19 vaccine and anyone who had a first dose eight weeks ago or more can come forward on a drop-in basis in a number of locations next week (from July 19 to July 25).
Drop-in vaccinations are available between 8:30am and 5:30pm at the following clinics:
Monday, July 19

These sessions can offer drop-in vaccinations in addition to appointed vaccines. If you have an appointment for any of these clinics please attend as normal.
If you have received a first dose of vaccine more than eight weeks ago (56 days), and have missed your second vaccination appointment, or didn’t receive a notification of your second dose appointment, you can attend on a drop-in basis to have that second dose. Guidelines now bring the dosing schedule forward from 12 to eight weeks between doses.
NHS Ayrshire & Arran Assistant Director of Public Health Lisa Davidson said: "Thank you to everyone who has come forward so far. You are helping us to get back to the things we love. But if you’ve not yet had your vaccine yet, don’t forget to pop along to one of the drop-in clinics, and get jagged this July."
Asymptomatic testing sites
There are Asymptomatic Test Sites (ATS) in East, North and South Ayrshire. These sites are available seven days a week from 10am to 6pm, and there is no need to book.
East Ayrshire:
From Friday, July 16 until Thursday, July 29 at Rose Reilly Sports Centre, 2 Kilwinning Road, Stewarton, KA3 3DN
North Ayrshire:
From Thursday, July 8 until Wednesday, July 21 at Unit 24, Bridgegate, Irvine KA12 8BJ
From Thursday, July 22 until Wednesday, August 4 at Brisbane Centre, Bath Street, Largs KA30 8BL
South Ayrshire:
From Monday, July 19 until Sunday, July 25 at Walker Hall, Municipal Building, South Beach, Troon KA10 6EF
Even if you don’t have COVID-19 symptoms, it is still important to get tested regularly, and it’s even easier to get a rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) testing.
There are three options to choose from: at one of the test sites; by collecting a test kit from participating community pharmacies; or by requesting a test kit to be sent to your home.
Ayrshire residents who don’t have any of the three COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, high temperature, loss or change in sense of taste or smell) are encouraged to get tested.
