BEST friends Ben Doak and Dylan Reid were united on the pitch as they played for Scotland’s Under 17 football team.

Ben and Dylan have been best friends since they were toddlers and have shared a passion for football since they were able to kick a ball.

Dylan, of Kilbirnie, plays for Celtic and Ben, from Dalry, plays with St Mirren and while they may be rivals most of the time, they were united for their match for Scotland against Wales.

Ben’s proud gran Helen O’Neill said: “The boys’ mums have been lifelong friends and since they were tots Ben and Dylan have been best friends.

“To see them both playing for Scotland makes us so proud of the boys.”
