Molly and Gordon Murray have recently bought the former Danish consulate at 1A Winton Buildings, and spent the summer renovating it.
They opened the doors of Seahorse Bookstore in September of 2021 and have met with an amazing reception from the community.
Molly said, ahead of their Hallowe’en event plans: “My husband has dreamed of this business since we moved to Ardrossan, but it was the lockdown in Spring 2021 that inspired him to take action.
“I am really excited to announce our events for Hallowe’en at Seahorse Bookstore.
“We are hosting a free costume contest and spooky story reading for kids, and award winning author, CJ Cooke, is going to give a presentation and book signing in the afternoon. Her new release, The Lighthouse Witches, is one of the best sellers of this month and has been flying off book shelves everywhere.
“It is our October Book Club Read.”
