Tributes have been paid to the victim of a fire which took hold at a public toilets in Saltcoats on Monday [November 15].
This week, we've been reporting on how a blaze which broke out at the public toilets situated within Melbourne Park, Melbourne Road, claimed the life of one woman.
The tragic death has prompted an outpouring of emotion from the community, including council staff who yesterday said they were "distraught" following Monday's events.
They also confirmed that they were "aware" of the late woman, and had offered her temporary accommodation in the weeks leading up to her death, as well as access to support services.

In recent days, floral tributes have been laid at the site where the woman died, including bouquets, wreaths and messages of condolence.
One note read, 'in loving memory of a dear sister', while another said, 'may your soul rest in peace'.
The woman's death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
