A pub in Stevenston has temporarily closed as a precautionary Covid measure.
The Station Bar, located on Station Road in the town, issued a statement on social media saying that the premises has shut for a deep clean after being contacted by an NHS track and trace team.
The bar said staff and customer safety is their "priority" so they are pulling the shutters down for now as it is "better safe than sorry".
The bar's full statement said: "Hi folks The Station Bar will be closed for a deep clean as we have been contacted by track n trace as always staff and customer safety is our priority better safe than sorry thanks for your patience".
Lynne McNiven, Director of Public Health, said: "NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Test and Protect team has conducted contact tracing within a bar in Stevenston, North Ayrshire.
"All relevant Public Health measures are in place. To respect and maintain patient confidentiality it is not possible to release any further information at this time."
