AN AYRSHIRE punk rock band has released a brand new Christmas charity single.
The Apparents have released the song titled “Another Song for Christmas” and it is a light-hearted, tongue in cheek look at the yearly battle to release the best Christmas single.
Previously slated for release in 2020, the band were unable to get together to record the track due to Covid restrictions.
All of the proceeds from sales of the single will go towards charity Kidney Kids Scotland, which is currently the only Scottish charity supporting children with renal/urology illness.
The band had a special reason for deciding on the charity to support.
A spokesperson said: “Due to the illness of one of the band’s family members and the support provided by the Kidney Kids Charity, when the idea to release a Christmas single was first discussed, it was suggested that this be a charity release in support of the Kidney Kids organisation.
“The band agreed that this was a great idea and that 100 per cent of all sales of the single would go direct to this excellent Scottish charity.”
