Three Towns train services have been disruped due to high waves and strong winds.
Network Rail have advised they weill provide further updates on cancellations adding running trains under present weather conditions is not an option.
A spokesperson said: "Due to high waves covering the overhead lines between Stevenson and Ardrossan South Beach, power to the overhead lines has been turned off in this section.
"We'll monitor this closely and update you of any changes throughout today.

As you can see, there's some pretty big waves crashing over the sea wall on to the railway and our overhead power lines. pic.twitter.com/cepVxbfwQM
"The overhead wires carry 25,000 volts. Given that electricity and water don't mix, running trains isn't an option right now."
According to the ScotRail page on Journeycheck, trains on the Glasgow-Ardrossan and Glasgow-Largs routes are likely to be disrupted until at least 6.30pm, with all services on those routes running only between Kilwinning and Glasgow Central.
