Beith Community Development Trust, in collaboration with the Garnock Valley Locality Team, has developed and released a brand new community hub app and website for community members and businesses.

The Garnock Valley Life app allows users to interact with local businesses and clubs for free, and post their own community stories and events to the app and website.

The app also allows business owners to list their businesses for free for at least a year and post any deals, events, updates, or changes to the business to the app homepage to ensure a wider audience reach.

If a business has a new deal or event they wish to advertise, for example, a last-minute sale on shoes, they can post a deal to the front page of the app for all users to see.

If an app user has chosen to favourite that business listing the update posted from that business will be sent directly to the customer’s phone in the form of a push notification; ensuring they are regularly updated and front of the line with what that business or community group has to offer.

The app itself was designed and produced by Our Community Hub, a website and app development service that aims to build sustainable, affordable apps and websites for small communities and councils.
