Four illustrated talks on the Garnock Valley’s rich history are to take place in the Bridgend Community Centre in Kilbirnie this month – starting this week.
Harriet Tatton will speak about the area’s oral history on Thursday, March 10 at 7pm.
She’ll be followed by Wullie Craig discussing the Glengarnock Steelworks (March 17), John Hodgart talking about Bessie Dunlop, the Witch of Dalry (March 24), and Allan Richardson covering the history of furniture making in Beith (March 31).
Admission will be free and refreshments will be provided. Residents are encourage to book early to avoid disappointment.
