A fundraiser has been started in order to raise money to help a Saltcoats family through a tragic time.
Donations are being sought to help Corry Ferguson's family give the 26-year-old a decent send-off.
The fundraiser was set up by Stephen Meechan, who issued the following statement on the JustGiving page: "We are hoping by using this page we can raise some money to help Corry’s family in their moment of need.
"As most of you will know Corry went missing from his house on 1st of March, and as our local community does in the darkest of times, everyone rallied round in hopes of finding Corry and getting him back to his family.
"We are asking again that the local community band together and help give one of their own a send off he deserves and help to take a small bit of pressure off a family who have already suffered so much.
"Any donation is greatly appreciated no matter how big or small."
A link to the donation page is included here.
At the time of writing 17 people had donated a total of £410.
The Saltcoats man's body was found on Irvine beach on Friday, March 18 after he had been missing since Tuesday, March 1.
In the days following his disappearance, Three Towns residents searched the area for Corry but to no avail.
His family finally received some closure this week with police confirming that the body found on March 18 was Corry's.
