PUPILS at a Saltcoats secondary school have been treated to the sight of a royal visitor today - after Princess Anne landed in a helicopter at St Matthew's Academy.
A helicopter with the letters G-XXED printed on the tail descended into Jack's Park around midday today, March 31.
Online checks can confirm that this particular helicopter is in fact owned by 'The Queen's Helicopter Flight'.
Eyewitnesses state that upon the helicopter landing, The Princess Royal got out, gave a wave, before heading to an "MI5 car".

Why exactly she is in the area is unclear, but we are sure she enjoyed her trip to our seaside town.
