A KILWINNING flower show is back after a two-year absence.
Kilwinning Horticultural Society has announced that its Annual Flower Show is returning this Summer after a gap due to coronavirus restrictions.
The event will showcase the area’s best planting and growing skills, and will also have a section for Kilwinning’s youngsters.
James Burns, show secretary, told the Herald: “A show schedule will be printed in due course with an entry form inside for those who wish to participate.
“Please tell your families to get sowing and growing, making and baking and remind the children as well as we have a large section for all school children within Kilwinning.
“Schedules and entry forms will be printed in due course in the coming months.
“May we remind any trophy holders from our previous show in 2019, to contact the Secretary regarding the collection of said trophies on 07706156645.
“We look forward to seeing everyone again in August with all your fantastic exhibits.”
The group are also planning to run their Community Garden Awards competition again for the Best Front Garden, Best Back Garden, Best Community Garden and Best Vegetable Garden. More information, and application forms on this will be confirmed soon.
This year’s Annual Flower Show will take place at Abbey Church Hall, Vaults Lane at 2pm on Thursday, August 25.
