A council worker has suffered a head injury after a three-vehicle crash in Stevenston.
A vehicle is understood to have collided with another as well as a Streetscene sweeper vehicle just before 3pm today [Thursday, April 14] - causing damage to the wall outside Glencairn Primary School.
The Herald understands the driver of one vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene - while police added inquiries are continuing into the exact circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson: “Around 2.50pm on Thursday, 14 April 2022, police attended a report of a three vehicle crash in New Street, Stevenston.
“Officers attended and have called the Scottish Ambulance Service to attend as one man has sustained a head injury.
“Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.”
It's understood that as this article was published an ambulance had yet to arrive at the scene of the crash.
