NORTH Ayrshire's former deputy provost Robert Barr has lost his seat in the council elections.
Independent councillor Mr Barr, who served the Dalry ward for many years, had been deputy to outgoing provost Ian Clarkson since 2017.
Mr Barr's old ward of West Kilbride and Dalry disappeared after recent changes by the Boundary Commission.
West Kilbride is now included in the North Coast Ward, with Dalry joining with the Garnock Valley ward.
At today's count, he lost out, with seats going to John Bell (Labour), Anthea Dickson (SNP), Margaret Johnson (SNP), Ronnie Stalker (Conservative) and Donald L Reid (Independent)
