The Waverley is to make several stops in Ayrshire this year as part of its summer cruising programme.
This year's itinerary has been revealed and it includes stops in Arran, Ayr, and Girvan, as well as various locations up and down the west coast.
The world's last seagoing paddle steamer will leave Glasgow and visit Arran over the Spring bank holiday weekend. On Sunday, May 29 it will stop at Brodick at 3pm before making a tour round the Holy Isle to Whiting Bay.
The famous ship will visit Lochranza on Thursday, June 2 at 2pm where it will then tour round the island before making its way to Glasgow.
The 75-year-old vessel will return to Arran many times as part of its summer timetable too.
It will also be making trips from Glasgow to Ayr and Girvan, which will incorporate a trip around Ailsa Craig.
Those in South Ayrshire will have to wait a little longer to board the Waverley, with no stop offs in the area planned in the spring timetable, but the Summer timetable does feature several dates in July and August.
The Waverley is set to cast off from Glasgow on Saturday, May 28 on the first cruise of the summer season when she makes her way “Doon the Watter” to Rothesay and then through the stunning Kyles of Bute to Tighnabruaich.
It will also be making voyages to Oban and the Inner Hebrides.
This year marks an important milestone for the Waverely as she celebrates her Diamond Jubilee.
Waverley’s General Manager, Paul Semple, said: “We are excited to be launching this summer’s sailing programme which sees Waverley operate on her native home waters on the beautiful Firth of Clyde from late May.
"We are also delighted that she will make a return to cruising out of Oban and the Inner Hebrides for the first time in four years following her boiler refit and Covid restrictions. We look forward to welcoming passengers aboard from Skye, Tobermory, Gairloch and Kyle of Lochalsh.”
Mr Semple added: “The sound of Waverley’s paddles around Scotland’s west coast will signal to many that summer is here.
"This year is a very special one for Waverley as it’s the 75th anniversary since her maiden voyage back in 1947.
"To celebrate there will be a special sailing on Thursday June 16, where she will closely trace the route she was built to serve as a railway steamer, by cruising up Loch Long to Arrochar.
"We are very grateful that permission has been kindly granted for Waverley to berth at Ardnagal Pier, opposite Arrochar, on this special occasion.”
