SATURDAY, May 28 saw the return of the Three Towns’ Scooter Club’s annual fundraiser, for the first time since 2019.
The event, which was held in aid of Marie Curie and MacMillan Cancer Support saw riders from across the area descend on Winton Park for a fantastic day for such a great cause.
After meeting in the late afternoon, participants then hopped on their vehicles for a ride around the Three Towns, and it is clear to see there were plenty in attendance for this.
The event also included a fantastic afternoon filled with MOD music, Motown, Soul, Northern Soul and of course a bar and accompanying snacks.
Even with the season finished, Winton Park certainly saw a strong squad turnout, with a crowd Ardrossan Winton Rovers would be proud of - even if many were on the pitch and not in the stands!
The finalised figure of money raised is not yet known, though it is expected that this may be close to £4,000.
One of the event organisers, Pat Breen, commented: “Thanks to everyone for turning up, it turned out a fantastic day to raise funds for Marie Curie and MacMillan Cancer Support.”
The grand total of money raised is not yet known as the club’s fantastic efforts are due to continue this week, including at tonight’s (June 1) big football match at Hampden Park, as Scotland face Ukraine in the World Cup qualifying playoff semi-final.
Look out for this amazing total in upcoming additions of the Herald.
