An Arran hotel has won the title of Scotland’s best staycation venue at prestigious awards ceremony.
Auchrannie Resort won the top award at the Prestige Hotel Awards 2022.
The glitzy event took place at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaze on May 29, with hundreds of business owners showing up to see if they had won.
Bosses at the hotel put the recognition down to hard working staff.
Auchrannie saw off competition from Barend Holiday Lodges to take home the prize.
Resort management were quick to thank those who have supported the island resort in an emotional Facebook post.
Auchrannie Resort posted to their Facebook page: “We’re celebrating after being named ‘Scotland’s best staycation” at the Prestige Hotel Awards 2022.
“A huge recognition for the team who work so hard to make every Auchrannie experience a memorable one.
“And, a massive thank you to all our guests who have supported us, especially through the ever-changing events of the last two years.”
Auchrannie has grown from a 16 bedroom guest house in 1988.
It is now a resort comprising two four star hotels with 85 rooms, 30 five-star self-
catering lodges, 14 luxury retreats, three restaurants, a destination spa, shop and two leisure clubs with pools, children’s playbarn and outdoor adventure centre.
The Arran hotel joined winners from up and down the country, who filled out various categories including Best Boutique Hotel, Best Hotel
Team, Best Low Cost Hotel and Best Castle Hotel plus many more.
