The ARDROSSAN Scouts are reaching out to the community as they launch plans for a new upgraded facility for the troop.
Ardrossan Scout Group was founded in 1908 and has played an important role in the growth and development of young people from in the area.
Their current building is a community facility, and in need of repair to bring it up to modern standards and requirements.
Not only is it invaluable to the Scouts themselves, but also to other groups looking for affordable premises.
The Scout Group wants to undertake a community consultation about the proposed refurbishment and use of their premises as a community hub and get the views of other community groups on the potential use of the premises.
If this is of interest to you, you can undertake a short survey on this at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/THS3TXW.
They are also actively seeking funding for the refurbishment and have set up a just giving page: justgiving.com/campaign/ardrossanscouthut
A group spokesperson said: “If you are a former Beaver, Cub, Scout, Venture Scout, Explorer Scout or Leader or just an interested member of the community, the Scout Group are appealing for your help.”
