TWO Saltcoats-based community groups have been teaming up for initiatives to help improve the town.
Seasalt Streets are a group of local volunteers seeking to make improvements to Dockhead Street and the surrounding environment.
While Saltcoats Link Up is a community project that uses the skills, strengths and assets of local people and the local area to bring people together and create groups and clubs in which people can participate, contribute and have fun.
Their latest collaboration has seen them working in partnership with Ardrossan Academy to bring street planters back to Saltcoats.
Pupils of the school helped to plant the flowers and then put them up around the town. The group have placed the planters in locations that residents and local businesses help to keep them watered.
The group would like to thank Tommy Irvine for his support by watering the planters at Sainsbury’s roundabout, The Kirkgate Church and KC Flowers for taking care of the those near them.
