Agnes went to Beith Primary as a student and after a period spent teaching in Africa she returned to teach at at her old school.
A school spokesperson told the Herald: “Agnes has made such a huge impact on students, staff and the community during this time.
“She is the most kind, caring and nurturing teacher which made her the perfect candidate for the school’s nurture teacher job. She has supported students as well as their families in her role as nurture teacher.
“She always goes above and beyond and works with the community to support families who are struggling.
“She personally delivered weekly food parcels to families during lockdowns and arranged for Christmas and Easter gifts to be given to families who needed extra support. She is always there to listen and will do anything she can to support those around her.”
