West Kilbride's Louise Duncan was in some famous company on Monday, July 11, as she played in the 'celebration of champions' at the 150th Open at St Andrew's.
A total of 38 former R&A Champions, including Duncan, teed it up as ten teams of four competed across four of the courses iconic holes - 1, 2, 17 and 18.
And there were some pretty familiar faces on show. The teams were captained by current Open champion Colin Morikawa, Jordan Spieth, Henrik Stenson, Laura Davies, Gary Player, Ernie Els, Catriona Matthew, Tom Watson, Sir Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods.
They enlisted the help of some other famous friends such as Rory McIlroy, John Daly, Sandy Lyle and Shane Lowry.
Louise Duncan featured on 'Team Matthew', lead by ladies golf legend, and fellow Scot, Catriona Matthew OBE, a former Women's British Open Champion.
Alongside the pair on the team were former Open winners Francesco Molinari and Padraig Harrington.
The tournament was played across the first and last two holes of the 'home of golf', with all four players taking part, and the best two scores counting towards their final total.
Team Matthew finished with a total score of one under par, seeing them finish in a tie for fifth place in the overall event.
The title was claimed by the team lead by Sir Nick Faldo, who finished on an impressive six under par through the four holes - double the score of their nearest competitors.
Louise jokingly described the experience as "just a casual Monday afternoon" before thanking the R&A for inviting her "to be part of something so special".
The Open Championship commenced at St Andrew's today, July 14, for the events 150th edition.
The world's best golfers will be competing for the iconic claret jug, and the winner will be able to savour their own iconic moment walking across the swilcan bridge on Sunday - something we are sure Louise enjoyed doing on Monday.
