A West Kilbride art gallery will be displaying a limited collection of paintings from a beloved local who passed away last year.
Donald Ribbeck’s work will be displayed in 118 Main Street for two weeks from July 12, by Gallery Sometimes in cooperation with Ribbeck’s family.
All proceeds from the upcoming Artist of the Week exhibition will go to West Kilbride charities and community groups.
Ribbeck was well known in the local community as the owner of Murrays Newsagents and Hardware Store, and as volunteer at the charity bookshop in his retirement.
A spokesperson for Gallery Sometimes said: “I’m very honoured to have been asked by Mr Ribbeck’s family to coordinate an exhibition and sale of his paintings.
“I will also have on view (though not for sale) a number of the beautiful boat models which Donald also made.”
