THE West Kilbride Horticultural Society’s Summer Show - delayed since 2019 because of Covid - resumes on Saturday, August 20 in the Village Hall.
The show opens at 2pm and class schedules are now available in the D & B Gallery, and from various locations in the village.
There are many classes for adults, juniors and school-children – some with a Jubilee Year theme.
They include cookery, decorative, cut flowers and pot plants, vegetables, fruit and a popular section for jams, chutneys and other preserves.
The Tea Room is open until 4.15pm - this year serving delicious home-made pancakes.
Entries will be received at the Hall on Friday, August 19 from 7-9pm, and on Saturday morning from 8-9.45am: no entries can be staged after 9.45am.
Have a look in the schedule to see what you or the family could bring along; a successful plant sale was held by the society in May so perhaps there is an item from that event growing well in your garden which could be an entry.
Several impressive trophies can be won (including a “Family Trophy”) and other prizes - so start planning now, don’t be shy, give it a try, and the committee looks forward to welcoming again all exhibitors and visitors.
