DRIVERS have been warned of roadworks on the A78 starting tomorrow (Tuesday).
Amey says temporary traffic lights will be in place on the road through West Kilbride for two weeks from September 27.
The infrastructure services and engineering company will be carrying out routine maintenance on the A78 Seamill North footways.
The work will see a single lane closure as well as temporary lights for the duration of the work, due to finish on October 11.
The restrictions will be in place daily from 8am until 4pm between the junctions at Summerlea Road and Portencross Road.
Amey will be carrying out the work on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the company's network management contract for trunk roads in the south-west of the country.
The work will cost around £70,000 and, according to Amey, will "benefit those using this route each day, by improving the condition of the footways".
The firm also says the work is weather dependent, and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
