Two men were arrested after a break-in at a business premises in Kilwinning.
A 35-year-old was arrested in Almswall Road last week after the raid in Howgate.
A 38-year-old who fled the scene was traced at his home by police.
A spokesperson said: "In the early hours of Thursday, October 6, police were called to attend an on-going housebreaking at a commercial premises in Howgate, Kilwinning.
"A 35-year-old male was arrested on Almswall Road, Kilwinning - one of two males identified as responsible for the theft by housebreaking.
"A 38-year-old male made good his escape - but was later arrested at his home address.
"Police Scotland are pro-actively targeting criminals who carry out these crimes.
"If you see anyone acting suspiciously near to a property or vehicle, please contact the police on 101.
"Always call 999 in an emergency."
