IN a bid to help keep locals as informed as possible, the Beith Health Centre has created a new Facebook page.
A representative from the centre said they “hope to use this platform to keep our patients as up to date as we can about the practice and other topics we feel would be beneficial”.
The page was created on October 17, and the first update provided by the health centre was the decision to switch off their e-consult service for the week.
A statement read: “Unfortunately, due to ongoing sickness within our clinical team we have taken the decision to switch e-consult off for the remainder of the week.
“With the assistance of the health board we are still trying to get locum cover but this is proving difficult with it being the October holiday week.
“Due to lack of clinical staff we will be operating on an urgent/emergency footing again tomorrow.
“We appreciate your understanding and apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
As of Monday, October 24, the service was back in operation.
To find the page, search for ‘Beith Health Centre - GP Practice’ on Facebook.
