SALTCOATS' Christmas Carnival is set to return this month for the first time in two years.
The festive event was postponed last year and in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, but organisers have lined up an exciting schedule to welcome it back on Sunday, November 27.
The fairground will open at midday at Saltcoats railway station car park, with wristbands for the rides (from 12pm-6pm) costing £5 per person.
Stage shows will start at 1pm in Countess Street; Santa's Grotto will open at 2pm at Kirkgate Church and visits to see Santa will be free; and Santa will arrive at the town hall at around 4.30pm for the big lights switch-on at 4.45pm.
There will also be music, entertainment, story-telling and a sing-along in the town hall.
The carnival will take place the weekend after Ardrossan's festive celebrations get under way at the Ardrossan Civic Centre on Saturday, November 19 with markets starting at 4pm, Christmas lights being switched on at 4.45pm, and live performances kicking off at 5pm.
A ‘Santa Parade’ to the centre will also leave from Hill Street at 4.30pm.
Meanwhile, Kilwinning's Christmas lights switch-on is scheduled for Thursday, November 24. Search for 'Promoting Kilwinning' on Facebook for more details.
