A quad bike and a chainsaw were among the items stolen in a high-value theft of agricultural equipment from a farm in Dalry earlier this week.
North Ayrshire Rural Watch reported that "a number of individuals" broke into a container at the Brodoclea farm site, near Camphill Reservoir on the A760 between Largs and Kilbirnie, on Wednesday evening (November 30).
The crooks allegedly drove up to the site on dirt bikes between 5pm and 8pm then made off with a number of items, including a cfmoto 625 blue quad bike, a Husqvarna chainsaw and strimmer and several car batteries.
Encouraging anyone with any information relating to the incident to contact police, the rural watch team said: "It is highly likely they will have had a van or large vehicle parked somewhere along the Largs road near the reservoir to transfer the items."
Police Scotland confirmed that the incident had been reported and that "enquiries are at an early stage".
Anyone with any information should call 101.
