A ROWDY drinker who assaulted his partner after being kicked out of an Ardrossan pub has been placed under supervision for a year.
Sean McIntosh pleaded guilty to two charges and sentencing was deferred until this week when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
The 31-year-old admitted repeatedly pushing the woman on the body and causing her fear or alarm by behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Monday's hearing was told that the couple, who have been in a relationship for three years and live together, had been drinking at the Lauriston Bar in South Crescent Road on January 2 this year.
At around 5pm McIntosh was asked to leave the pub, which he did, as he had become rowdy.
The procurator fiscal depute told the court: "The witness and the pub manager followed them outside the pub where the accused was seen to push his partner in the chest four times.

"He called her a s**g, a w***e and a cow and was being generally aggressive to her.
"She was seen crying and he continued to shout and swear.
"Police were contacted and attended but he wasn't cautioned and charged due to his level of intoxication."
One of the charges against McIntosh stated that he caused his partner fear or alarm by repeatedly shouting, swearing, adopting an aggressive demeanour and uttering derogatory remarks towards her, while he also ran towards vehicles on the road and punched a vehicle.
His defence solicitor told the court that McIntosh's partner denies the offences took place.
The solicitor said McIntosh suspects his drink may have been spiked since he struggles to recall the incident.
The solicitor said: "He finds it difficult to explain his level of intoxication. He drank a moderate amount of alcohol and has no recollection of these events.

"He did not understand how he would have been in the position he was in."
A criminal justice social work report prepared for the January 30 hearing found that McIntosh is at 'moderate risk of re-offending', with Sheriff Colin Bissett stating he has a previous domestic-related conviction from 2021.
Sheriff Bissett said: "Given his record it might be a bit of a stretch for me to impose a financial penalty.
"I am a little concerned that having recently completed a community payback order designed to keep you away from behaviour like this you have offended again.
"I will impose a supervision order to see if we can break this cycle of offending."
McIntosh, of Glasgow Street, was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work within six months and will be subject to a 12-month supervision order.
