ONE of Saltcoats' most famous musicians has shared his delight at having a street in his home town named after him.
Colin Hay, formerly lead vocalist of Australian band Men at Work, posed proudly with the new signage at Colin Hay Drive when he was back in Saltcoats.
The street forms part of the new Arran View/Clyde Shores Persimmon Homes development in the town.
He shared a snap, clearly delighted with the great honour, on his social media page.
He accompanied the post with a short statement saying: "Look at me now ma’ my ane drive and everything."
The singer songwriter was back in North Ayrshire last month for a show at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine on January 31.
While best known for his time with the band in the 'Land Down Under', the Saltcoats man has had continued success in his own right as a solo performer.
Hay, who emigrated to Melbourne in Australia aged just 14 in 1967, also featured in former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr's 'All-Starr Band'.
