Staff at Arran’s Auchrannie Resort are “very very happy” to have won their fourth national Visit Scotland award.
On February 9, the hotel was awarded the prestigious ‘National Best Hotel Experience (Over 20 Rooms)’ at the national final of the Visit Scotland’s Scottish Thistle Awards in Edinburgh’s International Conference Centre.
The resort’s Business Development Manager, Gordon Hay, said: “We feel really privileged to be recognised by Visit Scotland.
“It totally acknowledges the tremendous work our team put in to delivering for our guests so we’re all very very happy.
“This is the fourth time we’ve won and we do attach a lot of value to these awards because it obviously comes from Visit Scotland and with them being the national tourism body I think it’s a very prestigious award to win.”
Last year, the hotel won the same award at the 2022 regional ceremony as they represented the west of Scotland.
Nationally, the resort won the ‘Tourism Entrepreneur Award’ in 2012, the ‘Scotland Year Round’ award in 2004 and in 2019 the hotel’s co-founder Linda Johnston won the ‘Regional Ambassador’ award.
The resort has also won regional awards for the ‘Best Hotel Experience’ in 2019, ‘Hotel of the Year Central South Scotland’ in 2013, and the ‘Tourism Entrepreneur Award Central South Scotland’ in 2012.
The awards celebrate the best tourism and hospitality Scotland has to offer with awards judged by industry experts.
Each entry had to prove their commitments to Scotland’s natural and cultural heritage, inclusivity, creating a low carbon economy, and helping to make thriving communities.
