FOUR men have appeared in court in connection with a £2 million drugs bust in Stevenston this week.
Ayrshire police confirmed on Wednesday, April 5, that they had discovered a cannabis farm at a unit on the Ardeer industrial estate the previous day.
Four men - Besmir Broshka, Armend Krasniqi, Drilon Gapi and Erando Juapi - appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
The men, aged 36, 30, 35 and 32 respectively, made no plea and were all committed for further examination.
They were all remanded in custody until they make their next appearance at court in the next week.
Mr Karniqi, of Edinburgh, Mr Juapi, of Birmingham, and Mr Gapi and Broshak, who both have no fixed abode, have each been charged with two offences - one relating to the alleged production of controlled drugs, the other under section 31 of the Electricity Act 1989, whch relates to the alleged altering of an electricity meter.
