Moffat House on Nineyard Street in the town has recently been brought to the market.
The building dates back to 1850, and has had a number of different uses throughout its near 200-year existence.
Originally built as a Royal Bank of Scotland, since its inception it has also been used as the head office for AT Mays, Business Gateway, Scottish Enterprise, and most recently Kilmarnock College.
Moffat House, an impressive property that comprises three interconnected traditional sandstone buildings and a modern addition on the side and rear, provides a total floor area of approximately 11,230 sq. ft.
The main buildings, which are "C" listed, date back to around 1850.

Brought to the market by Kilglen Estate and Letting Agency, offers of over £150,000 are being sought for the property.
Though those interested in the property would have to move fast, with a closing date for sale currently set at 12pm on Friday, May 19.
They say the space could appeal to property developers looking for a centrally located plot for development, subject to obtaining the necessary planning permissions.
Both inside and out, many of the original features have been carefully preserved, such as the ornate cornicing, stained glass windows, and ornate staircases, adding to the property's character and charm.
There is also a commercial training kitchen with a ventilation system still in place.
The property is in various states of repair, with some areas showing significant improvement work required. However, other parts have been extensively refurbished.
Moffat House also boasts a large private car park which has space for approximately 22 cars and is located at the rear of the property.
