Two people are facing charges of making malicious allegations after placing ‘offensive' posters around a village on Arran making claims about a man.
Daryl James Keen, 46, and Freya Leanne MacDonald, 35, both face a charge of stalking by allegedly engaging in a course of conduct which caused a resident to suffer fear and alarm.
Court papers allege that Mr Keen and Ms MacDonald posted or affixed several posters of an offensive and malicious nature about the individual named in the charge.
It’s alleged the posters were placed at a number of locations in Lamlash including the village's Co-op store, the Lamlash Bay Hotel, Main Street and Benlister Terrace on October 3 and 4, 2019.
The case was continued without plea when it called at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday, June 2.
Mr Keen of Main Street, Cumbernauld, and Ms MacDonald, of Hillcrest Avenue in the same town, are due to return to court to face the allegations at a later date.
