A SALTCOATS man has been sentenced after he brandished two knives at police officers who were called to his home.
Christopher Wright, 42, pleaded guilty to one charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner towards the officers during an incident which happened on April 27 this year.
When he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, June 2, Wright admitted behaving in a way which was liekly to cause fear and alarm.
He did so by shouting, swearing and acting in an aggressive manner towards police officers who were present at his home on Parkend Avenue.
Wright also pleaded guilty to having made threatening remarks towards the officers, and to have brandished the two blades at them.
Wright was put on a community payback order with 12 months of social work supervision and was ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work by this December.
